Joe Chi:

A handshake across the mountains and seas: Latin American Chamber of Commerce and New York Chong Kung Fu reach strategic cooperation

(New York, Miami, United Press, June 5, 2026)

On June 3-4, 2026, the Latin American Chamber of Commerce (CAMACOL) and the Tsung Tsin Association of New York held two days of in-depth exchanges across geographical and ethnic boundaries and formally signed strategic cooperation agreements. This marks a substantial step in the multicultural integration of the Hispanic and Chinese guest communities in the United States and in the living heritage of non-heritage.

June 3: World Cup-themed dinner, charity and friendship mingle

On the evening of June 3rd, the "CAMACOL World Cup VIP Welcome Dinner" hosted by the Latin American Chamber of Commerce was held at Smith & Wollensky Restaurant in Miami Beach. The site was decorated with football elements, with a model of the World Cup winner's trophy, an official embroidered football and flags of various countries. Nearly 100 guests from Latin American business, political and Chinese communities dressed up to attend.

At the dinner, Joe Chi, President of the Latin American Chamber of Commerce, Pedro Mesa, President of the CAMACOL Caring Committee, and Dario Peruzzi, Co-Chair of the event, delivered speeches. Chairman Joe Chi extended his warm welcome and thanks to the Chairman of New Youk Tsung Tsibn Association, Albert Ho and the delegation. He mentioned:“For many years, Chongzheng Association has given strong support to the Chamber of Commerce's annual holiday food relief charity project 'Las Jabas de Navidad' Tonight, we would like to pay a high tribute to the Chinese guest community.” The gala also held a charity sweepstakes, with prizes including World Cup tickets and a limited edition ceramic football bottle. The two ethnic guests raised glasses in a lively atmosphere and talked about the future.

June 4: Senior executives meet behind closed doors to sign historic agreement

On the morning of June 4, the two sides moved to the Miami headquarters of the Latin American Chamber of Commerce for high-level closed-door talks. Under the principle of "equal respect and mutual learning," the two sides shared the development history of their respective communities - the successful experience of the Latin American Chamber of Commerce in serving multinational Hispanic entrepreneurs, and the tenacity of New Youk Tsung Tsibn Association, founded 108 years ago, bringing together more than 6,000 members and inheriting Hakka non-heritage culture.

After in-depth discussion, the two sessions formally signed two documents:

  ● Memorandum of Strategic Cooperation between the Latin American Chamber of Commerce and New Youk Tsung Tsibn Association (MOU)

Agreement on Inter-ethnic Community Cultural Interaction and Multi-Party Operational Cooperation of the Hands-on Group

The signing of the agreement marks the transition of the cooperation between the two sides from friendly interaction to a substantive operational stage.

A landmark alliance between two linguistic and cultural communities

  ● The Latin American Chamber of Commerce (CAMACOL): As the world's second largest native language (Spanish) for business and cultural diffusion in the Americas, serving Hispanic entrepreneurs and communities, CAMACOL has influence across the United States and Latin America.

  ● New Youk Tsung Tsibn Association, and the global Hakka community: New Youk Tsung Tsibn Association, founded in 1918, is one of the oldest Chinese communities in the Eastern United States. With a global population of nearly 100 million people in more than 80 countries and regions, Hakka has a remarkable influence in politics and business. This cooperation is the first time that a trans-continental friendship and exchange agreement on heritage is officially signed between a Spanish-speaking organization and the Hakka-speaking community.

Cooperation focuses on integrating non-cultural heritage into modern life through the bonds of "medicinal and food homology."
